As a young wife and mom, I had no idea what I was asking when I prayed for fire in my bones—as Jeremiah experienced (see Jeremiah 20:9)—but a yearning deep in my core would not be silent. I had to ask. I had to seek. I had to knock. Later I would learn that the Holy Spirit within was gently, tenaciously nudging me on; my Creator wanted this relationship even more than I did.
The Holy Spirit has been teaching me how to walk with my Father all of my life—even when I didn’t realize, even when I didn’t want Him to. This Beloved Road: A Journey of Revelation and Worship recounts some of my steps.
